Dear President，

I hope you are doing great!l am Li Ming，one of the sophomore students in our university.I saw that our Student Union posted a notice collecting advice about enriching extracurricular activ-ities， soI am writing this letter to make some suggestions.

First， could you organize more sports activities? Now， there is only one annual school-wide sports meet， and I believe both the variety and the frequency of such events can be increased. Second， it might be a good idea for our students to engage in more social activities which can broaden their horizons and im-prove their sense of responsibilities. The Student Union can re-cruit volunteers to aid rural Project Hope primary schools，go to nursing homes to visit elderly people， and raise funds to help disadvantaged groups.Besides， I suggest that more distin-guished experts and scholars in distinct fields be invited to de-liver speeches to our students.Last year，the Student Union or-ganized a couple of forums and lectures， which received wide acclaim from both students and teachers in our school.

英语四级考试的评分标准

1、大学英语四级考试的原始分数在经过加权、等值处理后，参照常模转换为均值为500、标准差为70的常模正态分数。同时，四级考试不设及格线，考试合格证书改为成绩报告单。

2、四级考试单项分的报道分为四个部分，这四个部分以及各部分所占的分值比例分别为：听力35%、阅读35%、综合10%、写作和翻译20%。

How to Reduce Drunken Driving

Currently, as a mass of reports on deaths andinjuries caused by drunken driving are all over thenews， the phenomenon of drunken driving hasaroused nationwide concern.

Drunken driving will undoubtedly give rise tosevere consequences if we turn a blind eye to it. Inthe first place, it will put the safety of drivers,passengers and pedestrians under threat by causing traffic accidents, injuries or even deaths.After that, it means a mournful waste of time and money to treat the injured and fix thecrashed cars. In addition, the irresponsible behaviors of the drunken drivers may lead to theunstabilization of the society.

Prompt and effective measures should be taken to reduce drunken driving before thingsget worse. There is no doubt that some people are selfish and greedy. For example, some

merchants sell their fake commodities at the market place for more profit. They are rich and want to be richer. There are also government officials who sell people's trust. Senior officials who take bribes by selling the power in their hands are not a few. Those people believe in the precept "Everyone for himself and the devil take the hind most."

However, the majority of people are neither selfish nor greedy. They contribute much and ask for little.
