Japan (Japanese: 日本, Nihon or Nippon) is an island country located in the Pacific Ocean, east of China and Korea, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea in the south. It is posed of over 3,000 islands, the largest of which are Hokkaidō, Honshū, Shikoku, and Kyūshū. Most of Japan's islands are mountainous, and many are volcanic; the highest peak is Mount Fuji. Historically, Japan adopted many Chinese and Korean customs and institutions beginning in the 5th and 6th centuries. During the 8th century, the emergence of an indigenous culture sparked a "golden age" in Japan called the Heian period, characterized by aesthetic refinement and aristocratic sophistication. The arts and literature flourished, culminating in Lady Murasaki's writing of The Tale of Genji, the world's first known novel. From the 12th century to the mid-1800s, Japan was a feudal country led by clans of warriors known as the samurai. The Tokugawa shogunate, established in 1603, began to pursue the Sakoku ("closed country") policy of isolation that lasted for o and a half centuries. The arrival of U.S. Commodore Matthew Perry's "Black Ships" and the signing of the Convention of Kanagawa in 1854, signaled the opening of the country to the West. After the Meiji Restoration of 1868, Japan adopted many European and American customs and institutions. Its culture today is a mixture of these influences along with traditional Japanese culture. Japan is the world's second-largest economy and one of the world's leading industrialized countries. It is a unitary constitutional monarchy with an emperor and an elected parliament, called the Diet, which is one of the oldest legislatures in Asia. Despite its rugged terrain, Japan is one of the most populous—and one of the most densely populated—countries in the world. Greater Tokyo, with over 30 million residents, is the largest metropolitan area in the world. Japan's name in the kanji writing system is often translated as "Land of the Rising Sun", and es from the country's location on the east coast of Asia。

Japan was fun. It was very cool and windy. We flew kites in the park. I bought a watch there. I wanted to buy more, but I didn't have money. The gardens there were beautiful. I liked them the best. The department stores were too big. I couldn't find Mom. The food was delicious. We ate a lot of fish, and I also liked the vegetables and cake there. I hope I can go to Japan one more time。
Japan is a treasure chest for special interest tours. A rich history thousands of years old has influenced all aspects of culture, creating a country that embraces modern technology in one hand, and balances this with time-honored customs in the other.Japan is rich in tradition and arts, full of historical buildings, unique performing arts and action-packed festivals. Japan is also a nature-lover's paradise, offering everything from spectacular mountain ranges that challenge climbers to rivers that test anglers. One of the major attractions of traveling throughout Japan is trying different local cuisines in every town you visit. While sushi is in fact a large part of Japanese heritage, myriad flavors from all around the world have contributed to Japan's robust foodie culture, attracting more and more culinary figures worldwide to try the new eastern hot spot. It should therefore e as no surprise that Tokyo is ranked the number one food city by Food and Wine magazine, not to mention the fact that Tokyo has more stars in the prestigious Michelin Guidebook than any other city in the world. From noodles to sashimi to indulgence French cuisine, Japan has the food to satisfy the most discerning of palettes, as well as the strictest of budgets.Mt. Fuji is one of Japan's icons for its perfect shape and snow-capped peak. Many visitors to Japan enjoy the view from the Hakone or Fuji-Goko (five lakes) areas. But have you ever thought of climbing it? Actually, it being a relatively easy climb, everyone from young kids to senior citizens can enjoy the experience. It takes about 6 hours to ascend and 3-4 hours to descend, originating from the 5th Station base point which you can reach by car or bus. When I say “relatively easy”, I do not mean it is not hard. You do not need special mountaineering knowledge or techniques, but you do need average physical strength and endurance.Whatever the activity, rest assured that a soothing hot spring is never too far away. I can't wait to create my own special tour and open the treasure chest to the real Japan, where the people are warm and hospitable in weling visitors from all over the world.。

The Power of Advertisements Every day, it is easy to see advertisements all around us. Look around. How many different advertisements can you see? Often products show the name of the pany that made them. This is a popular form of adver- rising. The special picture or symbol, i.e. logo, appears on many different products. When you see a logo, it is hard to fet that product or pany. Many people buy a product because it is made by a certain pany. In fact, some people only buy a product of a famous pany. They think it proves that they are fashionable and have good taste. It is mon to find advertisements on TV or radio. Most advertisements are very short for people to remember. Nike, for example, has a simple slogan used all around the world:"Just do it". Advertisements often use funny situations as well. It is easy to remember an entertaining ad. All advertisements are designed to make people buy a product. An advertisement for a soft drink, for example, might show a group of trendy young people who are having fun. The young people are all drinking the soft drink. Adverrisers are saying to you, "Why don't you buy it and be like these people? You can be young, modern and trendy, too." You might think that advertisements do not affect you, but the next time you buy a soft drink, ask yourself: Why am I buying this particular product?
Nowadays, various media has been increasingly developing. It's the popularity of shopping by media. As we know ,there is very convenient to media shopping. On the one hand, some people needn't shop outdoor and meanswhile ,it's the unneccessity to endure the strong sunshine. On the other hand ,others could save some time acpanied with families. Some individuals ,however, involve the opposite views.they deem that they may be cheated by unreal informations. For example, the goods what we paied the bills could be greatly different to what we see online. From my point of viev,we may as well make chooses properly and enquire professors in this way.Only by doing so can we get what we want online and set bad facts aside.。
My Opinion on Private CarsWith the increasing of the living standard, more and more people own a car. It's true that a car can do us good.We can drive to work without taking a bus.We can go travelling in our own cars.We can go out by car anytime. In a word,a car makes it convenient to go anywhere. What's more, owning a car,to some degree, means we're rich. Therefore many people dream of having their cars, and work very hard in order to have one.Hower, there are some disadvantages of a car.First of all,we have to pay a lot of money for it.A car can be very expensive, generally costing ten thousand yuan or more.Second,a car needs gases or petrol. We have to go to the filling stations from time to time.Third,it releases poisonous gases that pollute the air. What's more, too many cars will bring about traffic jams.To my mind,we should not buy a car.Nowadays the traffic system is perfect.Buses, taxies and underground are everywhere.。

Last week a survey concerning low-carbon life was carried out among 300 students in our school._____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Last week a survey concerning low-carbon life was carried out among 300 students in our school. When asked about their attitude to this lifestyle, a majority of 83% show support. In a bid to preserve the limited amount of resources, they take measures such as going to school by public transportation, saving as much water and electricity as possible in daily life, and using environmentally-friendly / reusable / recyclable bags instead of plastic ones for shopping.Yet the remaining 17% seem rather indifferent and reluctant to adjust their current lifestyle to cut carbon emission. In their opinion, the effort of an individual is just too *** all to count. However, when these single efforts accumulate into a collective force, it will be significant enough for real improvements, so I hope more people can live a low-carbon life to protect the earth. 略。
