写一个关于世界地图,中国中国国旗的英语作文,
The flag of the People's Republic of China is a red field charged in the canton (upper left corner) with five golden stars. The design features one large star, with four smaller stars in a semicircle set off towards the fly (right side). The red represents revolution; the five stars and their relationship represent the unity of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Sometimes, the flag is referred to as the "Five Star Red Flag"

When learning a language, should we also learn the culture? Opinions on this question vary from person to person. However, in my opinion, learning a language should always go together with culture study.
For one thing, language is a part of culture. Could one hand work when being apart from the whold body? Never! A language is just like the hand while the culture is the whole body. So the language could mean nothing at all without being related to the culture. Because it is the culture that makes the language meaningful.
For another, learning the culture could help you understand the language well. Why we should say something in that way when we use a foreign language? How should we bring in our idea in a foreign language? And what should not be brought in when talking to a person who speak a different language from ours? All these questions mentioned refer to something called culture. For example, we usually say “ No" when others praise us in China, while those say “Thank you” for the same situation in Western countries. Why? Because we are living in different countries with different culture backgrounds.
Therefore, culture study is not the important thing when learning a foreign language but a necessary one for good understanding of the language.

The American flag, a symbol of our nation's strength and unity for over 200 years, has been a source of pride and inspiration for millions of citizens. It has been a prominent icon throughout our national history. Here are the highlights of its unique history:
- On January 1, 1776, the Continental Army was reorganized under a Congressional resolution, which placed American forces under George Washington's control. On that New Year's Day, the Continental Army was laying siege to Boston, which had been taken over by the British Army. Washington ordered the Grand Union flag to be hoisted above his base at Prospect Hill. It had 13 alternating red and white stripes and the British Union Jack in the upper left-hand corner (the canton).
- In May 1776, Betsy Ross is reported to have sewn the first American flag.
- On June 14, 1777, to establish an official flag for the new nation, the Continental Congress passed the first Flag Act: "Resolved, That the flag of the United States be made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation."
- Between 1777 and 1960, Congress passed several acts that changed the shape, design, and arrangement of the flag and allowed for additional stars and stripes to be added to reflect the admission of each new state.
- Executive Order of President Taft on June 24, 1912, established the proportions of the flag and provided for the arrangement of the stars in six horizontal rows of eight each, with a single point of each star upward.
- Executive Order of President Eisenhower on January 3, 1959, provided for the arrangement of the stars in seven rows of seven stars each, staggered horizontally and vertically.
- Executive Order of President Eisenhower on August 21, 1959, provided for the arrangement of the stars in nine rows of stars staggered horizontally and eleven rows of stars staggered vertically.
- Today, the flag consists of thirteen horizontal stripes, seven red alternating with six white. The stripes represent the original 13 colonies, and the stars represent the 50 states of the Union. The colors of the flag are symbolic: red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
