作文题目:节食Students, especially girls, often like to lose weight by eating less or taking different kinds of medicine. Dieting has become an obsession for some people. What is your opinion about this obsession with dieting?
作文范文Preventing an Obsession with Dieting
I believe the craving some young women have to copy what is promoted as the ideal figure for a woman is the cause of their obsession with excessive dieting. A great deal of media advertising makes use of young, slim, attractive women and it is understandably natural that some women want to copy what they see as the ideal role model.
Obsessive dieting certainly does happen, as is illustrated by the numerous articles in magazines about people suffering from anorexia. Almost exclusively, this obsession relates to younger women who are constantly bombarded with the supposedly ideal woman as depicted in women's fashion magazines, Most of these fashion models are very slim, some of them excessively so. There is nothing wrong with a sensible controlled diet aimed at losing some excess weight but, when the need to diet becomes an allconsuming passions, that is when the danger occurs. Often, the people who become susceptible to the lure of the "perfect" figure are not aware of what is happening to them. Usually, preventing dieting becoming an obsession will depend on friends and relatives recognising the warning signs. As for preventing the basic cause of this problem, that is a much more complex issue as it involves the standard mores of the society and people being aware of their responsibilities. Education about the dangers of excessive dieting needs to be part of the solution for prevention.
In conclusion, an obsession with dieting can be prevented by friends and relatives of the dieter as well as an education campaign about the dangers of excessive dieting. (261 words)

写作题目:责任On May 12, 2008, Fan Meizhong, a teacher at Guangya School in Dujiangyan, revealed he had fled his classroom during the earthquake leaving his students behind. Some people say that he lacked responsibility to his students while others say he had a right to save his own life first. What is your opinion about this?
写作范文Teachers Should Put Students First
"Runner Fan", nickname of Fan Meizhong, who ran out of the classroom leaving his students behind during the May 12 earthquake, has caused a controversy concerning traditional Chinese values. Many people regard his action as wrong and a direct violation of teachers' responsibility and I would have to agree with them.
Firstly, it is the responsibility of a teacher to protect his students' safety by law. Being concerned solely fol his own life and leaving his students behind while fleeing violates the spirit of the law. In an emergency, each teacher is responsible for the direct supervision of his students. Furthermore, it will be of great help if they can direct the evacuation of their students to designated assembly areas in accordance with warning signals and written notification. It is out of the question that they should not remain with their students until rescue crews arrive. Secondly, teachers act as a role model for their students. The Compulsory Education Law does stipulate that “a teacher should be a model of virtue for others and should be devoted to the education of the people." Teachers not only teach students how to think, but also how to behave to support others in society. Fleeing the classroom and leaving the students behind in an emergency sets a bad example for students.

写作题目:献血Many university students donate blood because they either get marks or benefit in some other way while others see it as helping others in need. Do you think that students should get something in return for donating blood?
写作范文Universities Should Reward Blood Donors
Should university students be rewarded for donating blood or should they do it out of altruistic reasons? As far as I am concerned, I believe that students should not make the donation merely in order to obtain rewards. Yet, institutions ought to devise some incentives to promote blood donation.
To begin with, the act in question is to help or even save the lives of people in need. In view of the notion that prize and punishment should be meted out accordingly, donors should be rewarded for their selflessness. Second, the implementation of various incentives also serves to encourage students to donate blood. As the saying goes, "One good turn deserves another." Even if donors do demand some repayment, it is utterly justified. Meanwhile, the establishment of the incentive policy also reinforces an advantageous societal system where good deeds are encouraged. Nevertheless, the foregoing points do not justify able-bodied students eschewing blood donation if no rewards are offered. Otherwise, our world would be replete with mercenary individuals; and no society can survive let alone thrive when it is corrupted with selfishness. 金大话英语培训网
In the final analysis, students should make donations in an altruistic fashion".However, universities ought to present some rewards to express their gratitude. (205 words)

With rapid spreading of western cultures, there is a growing number of Chinese people prefer western holidays to traditional ones. When Christmas or Valentine Day comes, youngsters flood into bars, restaurants, or department stores to celebrate these festivals, while they know little about Chinese traditional festivals.The reason behind such kind social phenomenon is obvious: in a society dominated by mass media and consumerism, festivals and holidays from abroad are labeled as fashionable, new and unique, while traditional ones are something out of date and old. Young people all over the world have regarded western life style especially the life depicted in Hollywood films as their ultimate goal of life. As a consequence it is no wonder that Chinese young people have much more passion on Christmas than China’s Spring Festival.
We should think about the influence of such a social phenomenon carefully. As far as I am concerned, it is obvious that the wide spread and recognition of western holidays is definitely doing harm to our traditional value. If we don’t take some measures right now, some day in future, Chinese cultural heritage may be alien to our offspring. It is high time for the government and all people to take some action to protect our traditional culture.

Opportunities are one of the essential factors to success.As an saying goes,“He who seizes the right moment,is the right man.” However,opportunities are rare,and they only favor those who are well prepared often.There are plenty of opportunities for everyone in society.However,as for most people,opportunities come quietly and leave without being noticed.In contrast,those who have made enough preparation and take full advantage of opportunities will achieve success.The story of Bill Gates is a good case in point.When he was in college,the world was undergoing an information revolution.People at that time thought a giant machine as a computer could only be used to calculate and did not expect that it could become so popular today.Bill Gates,however,seized the opportunity.He gave up his studies to join with his friends and finally created the world’s largest personal-computer software company.
In a word,considering how important seizing the right moment is,we college students are supposed to make every effort to get fully prepared lest we miss the opportunity.

Directions:Write a composition entitled Competition.You should write at least 120 words according to the outline given below in Chiness.
1.现代社会是一个竞争的社会;
2.竞争对人们的影响;
3.我应该怎么去面对竞争。
Competition
Just as animals’ competing for survival makes them stronger, competition is very necessary for the advancement of human society. Without competition,man would become lazy and nobody would take any responsibi1ity.
In the first place,competition can make people hardworking and creative.In the past,China’s productivity was very low because of the so-called planned economy.That system makes no competition at all.So neither farmers nor workers worked hard.However,when Deng Xiaoping put forward the marketing economy which requires fiercer competition,China began to become prosperous and strong in economy.In the second place,competition also can stimulate people to try their best to do things.For example,in 100-meter race,each sportsman runs as quickly as possible,trying to become the champion.The same things happen in our society and in our daily life.
Being a student,I must compete with other students in our studies. Therefore,I study hard in all the fields so as to be a useful man when I enter the society after graduation.(174 words)
